I am using the Split strategy to solve the train Maths Problem. 124+219= 100+200=300 20+10=30 4+9=13 Therefore, 300+30+13= 343 kms So the train traveled for 343 kms altogether.
There were 226 cockatoos altogether I figured this out because I rounded up the number 97 to 100 then I added 100 to the number 129 which gives you the number 229 then I took away three which gives you the final product 226.

I used the JUMP STRATEGY and in the ones I added 10+4. Then took away 1 because 9 is the same as taking 1 away from 10.
