Healthy Breakfast/Walk Safely To School Day

On Monday we had walk safely to school day. Forty one children from year four walked safely to school. When we arrived at school we had a nice healthy breakfast that was provided for us. It was fruit, cereal, milk and juice for all the children to enjoy and chat to their friends. It gave us a big boost and a great start to the day. Thank you Mr Barton for this great opportunity.

Fractions

We started fractions this week. Ugh. Fractions. Does anyone else feel that way about fractions?? We will be investigating, so it's not unbearable. The first few sessions are all about sharing. Today's lesson introduced which fractions are bigger using fraction cakes and branex paper. I am thinking of bringing in fruit and brownies to share with the class. So I will put the students in groups of 4 and give each group fruit and brownies and ask them to share equally.
