Nan Tien Temple - Excursion on Thursday

Located in a quiet, peaceful environment overlooking Mount Keira & Mount Kembla. "Nan Tien" in Chinese, literally means "Paradise of the South". This is the biggest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere and is one of the branch temples of Fo Guang Shan, founded by Master Hsing Yun. What do you expect to see and do at the temple?

  5. I would expect to see some special buildings and some paintings of special things and i would expect to do a walk around the block and find ancient statues and paintings.

  23. I loved the temple yesterday is was so fun.I liked the part when we went to the museum because we saw the that big block of wood being cut into statues.

    I heard about the Nan Tien Temple.The Nan Tien Temple is a Buddhist temple complex located in the industrial suburb of Berkeley, on the southern outskirts of the Australian city of Wollongong, around 80 km south of Sydney.Hoped use had fun.

    How much did you like the temple? Did you find anything interesting from this excursion? Did you learn about the Indonesian culture? Did you do any mediating while you were at the Nan Tien Temple and did you see and touch any of the statues.

    I found out that it is a very popular Buddhist temple and it is one of the most popular Chinese attractions.
    This temple by the sounds is a very calm peaceful place you must be relaxed.

    Did you know that Nan Tien temple was a Chinese word for southern paradise?
    The Nan Tien temple was completed in 1995.The temple is also one of the largest temples in the southern hemisphere.

    1. Hi my name is Jared.We had a lot of fun at the Nan Tien temple. The best part of the trip was when we had lunch because the food was really delicious.I found the art gallery because the sculptures and the paintings were interesting as well. There was even a 100 Yr old log and someone carved it into the Buddha and some other important people including the queen ''Kuan Lin''. And thanks for the information that i didn't know.(:

    1. We loved it there, the most enjoyable and interesting part was hearing about there saint Main Lin and how she wanted to help everyone in the world. We stayed there for 5 hours and we had lots of fun.
